“The Talk” Sheryl’s Ultimate Surprise House Party

Sheryl’s Ultimate Surprise Birthday Party was one of many sets I helped Emmy award winning set decorator Stephen Paul Fackrell put together on The Talk. Based on 1990 film House Party, and with the stars of the film Kid ‘n Play to make a surprise appearance, we brought in as many boomboxes and music amps we could get our hands on. The rest of the aesthetic was blending out stage with more homey elements, such as the nightstand and CRT TV, as well as snacks for guests, hosts, and the tub of ice and champaign.
