Hashish - Drug Lords (2018)

I was brought on to do some props for the recreations in the Netflix docu-series Drug Lords. One of the subjects trafficked in hashish primarily, but when I went to search prop houses, I couldn’t find any that would work for our shoot. Notably, the director wanted our actor to be able to cut a brick open and smell it for a close up. I ended up spending quite some time working out a mixture of sage and dark karo syrup in order to get the proper consistency, and was very pleased with the final result.
