“One of Us” Dinner scene

The first feature I prop mastered, this was also quite the tricky scene. In the story, all the ingredients are grown on a cult compound, and the food is entirely fresh, organic, and as colorful as possible. To accomplish this, I had to work around a low budget, and six actors various allergies and food preferences, where they could both eat during the scene, and it could easily be reset between takes. The only thing they didn’t eat was the “rabbit” meat, which I made from chicken gizzards (so it didn’t look like chicken), and covered in a gravy.
